Curtain fabric and a kitty by the door

Two totally unrelated snapshots to share with you today.

First, a kitty by the door.

It was a rainy day and just couldn’t make up his mind whether he wanted to be in or out.

And here’s a shot of the fabric I used to make a new set of curtains for my daughter’s room.

I spent waaaaaay too much money on it.  I won’t tell you exactly how much because it still makes me a little woozy thinking about it.  But it’s absolutely the most perfect fabric for the little girl’s room – bright and fun and flowery, but not too little kiddish.  As my friend Scarlett said, “Sometimes you just have to pay retail.”

I finished the curtains late last night.  (Can I say how much I HATE making curtains????)  I’ll share a pic of them hanging in her window as soon as I can get some good light for the photo.

Scarlett is right, but it still “hurts” your feelings, doesn’t it. Not to worry, I’m certain you’ll soon make it up on a super duper deal! Can’t wait to see the finished product.

O cute, reminds me of the french countryside..giant flower prints. I try to shop around for deals a bit and then go back to the initial choose, cause your first instincts are usually spot on….and yes it most often is the more costly choice….champagne taste…yadda yadda
